We had a jam packed weekend while visiting Berlin. From drinking beer with old friends to visiting museums and soaking up the culture. Have a walk through Berlin with us and see some of the sights as we did.
We stayed in Kreuzberg, otherwise known as the ‘hipster hub’ of Berlin, in the best decorated Airbnb I have ever seen. We started our exploration of the city with the Jewish Museum. From here we moved to the Topography of Terror, the former SS Headquarters. You could spend hours reading all the material on this site. We took in a walking tour. In such a sprawling city, this really is the easiest way to make sure you see a fair amount of the sights. Our last day was spent in Mauerpark. Wandering through the flea market, listening to the different bands play music, drinking beers and dancing in the sun. If watching us experience Mauerpark isn’t enough for you, read what we thought about it here: Music, antiques & revelry at Mauerpark, Berlin. This really was our favourite part of the whole trip.
This video is only a little snapshot into what we did while in Berlin. A lot of the city really needs to be seen and experienced on a personal level. Also, due to the history of the city there are a lot of places that are of a sensitive nature. Some places, it didn’t feel right to film in and others, while we may have gotten some nice footage it doesn’t feel appropriate to share it in this context. Also, this footage only includes our day time activities. At night we left the camera at home and focused on enjoying ourselves, catching up with friends and meeting new ones. You can read about some of the spots we hit and what we got up to in the evenings in our other post: Our Top 5 Must-Visit Places in Berlin.
So all that being said, enjoy walking the city with us!
